Navratrin kunniaksi, KK Entertainments järjestää yhteistyössä ISKCON temppelin kanssa Dandiya iltaman Helsingissä. Tarkoituksena on juhlia jumalatar Durgaa ja tanssia Garba tyyliin Garba musiikin tahdissa.
Dandiya Raas -tanssin alkuperä on jumalatar Durgan kunniaksi tanssittuissa uskonnollisissa Garba tansseissa. Tanssi esittää jumalattaren ja demonikuningas Mahishasuran välistä taistelua; tanssia kutsutaankin miekkatanssiksi. Tanssissa käytettävät kepit esittävät Durgan miekkoja. Tanssijat pyörivät ja liikuttavat käsiään ja jalkojaan koreografisoidusti rummun säestämänä. Tanssi onkin luonteeltaan hyvin energinen.

On the occasion of Navratra, KK Entertainments with kind support of ISKCON Finland group presents Dandiya Evening in Helsinki, Finland.
The Dandiya Raas dance originated as devotional Garba dances, which were performed in goddess Durga's honor, is actually the staging of a mock-fight between the Goddess and Mahishasura, the mighty demon-king, and is nicknamed as the sword dance. The sticks of the dance represent the sword of Durga. The dancers whirl and move their feet and arms in a choreographed manner to the tune of the music with lots of drum beats. The true dance gets extremely energetic.
Ring in this festive spirit in Helsinki and dance Garba style with great Garba music. And that's not all, there are also special evening offers yummy feast for all the pretty lasses. What are you waiting for?
