Ensi sunnuntaina elokuvateatteri Orionissa (Eerikinkatu 15, Helsinki) on jälleen mahdollista nähdä tamilinkielistä toimintaelokuvaa, kun Fronesis Media tuo Suomeen Vishwaroopam nimisen elokuvan. Elokuva kertoo eroa suunnittelevasta naisesta, joka palkkaa etsivän tutkimaan miehensä menneisyyttä. Wikipedian mukaan elokuva on uudelleen filmatisointi Hannibalista. Ms.Nirupama (Pooja Kumar), a nuclear oncologist from middle class family in Chennai, comes to U.S to pursue her higher studies. There she marries the dance master Vishwanath (Kamal Haasan), who runs a Kathak dance school in the US, only to further her career. After enduring three years of this "marriage of convenience", as she puts it, she decides to break the relationship and hires a detective to rake up some dirt in her husband's character. Thats when all the pandora's box opens up.  - Synopsis taken from IMBD. According to Wikipedia, Viswaroopam is a remake of Hannibal and the leading actor Kamal Haasan is acting the role of cannibal. In the supporting roles are Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah and Jaideep Ahlawat.

The film is directed by Kamal Haasan and co-written together with Atul Tiwari. Film is produced by Kamal Haasan, Chandra Haasan, Prasad V. Potluri, S.N.V. Ramana, S. Shanmugam, Jude S. Walko (USA), Teddy Yoon (NYC). The movie is shot by Sanu John Varughese and edited by Mahesh Narayan. The music is composed by the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Lyrics by Vairamuthu (Tamil), Javed Akhtar (Hindi), Asif Ali Beg and Kamal Haasan.

Vishwaroopam was shot with the same cast in Tamil and Hindi simultaneously and is titled in Hindi as Vishwaroop.
